Qualifications

  • Experience in Business Analysis and Regulatory Reporting within Market Risk or Capital Markets.

  • Strong skills in market risk sensitivities, risk factor modeling, and data concepts.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python for data analysis, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Experience designing UAT, data validation, and regulatory testing frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management abilities.
  • Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into scalable solutions.

Description

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support strategic regulatory reporting initiatives related to the US Basel III Endgame and Fundamental Review of the Trading Book (FRTB) frameworks. This role will be responsible for leading business analysis activities across the Sensitivities-Based Method (SBM), Default Risk Charge (DRC), and Residual Risk Add-On (RRAO) capital methodologies, ensuring regulatory requirements are accurately translated into business and technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead requirements gathering, business analysis, and solution design efforts for FRTB and Basel III Endgame regulatory reporting initiatives.
  • Translate regulatory requirements related to SBM, DRC, RRAO, Standardized Approach (SA), and Internal Models Approach (IMA) into detailed business, functional, and technical specifications.
  • Validate SA and IMA market risk capital calculations within risk technology platforms and reporting frameworks.
  • Partner with Market Risk, Front Office, Finance, Regulatory Reporting, and Technology teams to ensure accurate implementation of regulatory requirements and reporting solutions.
  • Establish and maintain end-to-end data lineage, controls, and governance processes to support reporting accuracy and compliance.
  • Analyze market risk sensitivities, risk factors, and market data to support capital calculations, reporting, and regulatory submissions.
  • Perform data validation, reconciliation, and root‑cause analysis to identify and resolve data quality, calculation, and reporting issues.
  • Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT), integration testing, and validation activities by developing test strategies, test cases, and reconciliation frameworks.
  • Reconcile calculator outputs against benchmark models and validate regulatory capital results prior to reporting and submission.
  • Support the integration of risk calculation engines and reporting outputs into downstream regulatory reporting platforms.
  • Facilitate communication between business and technology stakeholders, ensuring alignment on requirements, implementation, testing, and delivery milestones.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on FRTB, market risk capital methodologies, and regulatory reporting processes.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Strong experience in Business Analysis, Regulatory Reporting, Market Risk, Risk Technology, or Capital Markets functions.
  • In-depth understanding of FRTB, Basel III Endgame, SBM, DRC, RRAO, SA, and IMA methodologies.
  • Solid knowledge of market risk sensitivities, risk factor modeling, and market data concepts.
  • Hands‑on proficiency in SQL and/or Python for data analysis, reconciliation, validation, and reporting support.
  • Experience designing and executing UAT, data validation, and regulatory reporting testing frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into scalable business and technology solutions.

This is a Contract position based out of Charlotte, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
