Job summary

United Airlines is seeking a Business Analyst – IT to support planning, development and release management. The role focuses on capturing, analyzing and translating business needs into clear functional requirements to improve customer experience.

You will partner with business owners, analysts and developers to ensure accurate specifications, lead impact assessments and assist in testing and training during implementations.

Qualifications

• Clearly articulates and documents business requirements.
• Converts business requirements into operational requirements using structured processes (gathering, analysis, documentation and change management).
• Leads requirements analysis to determine system capabilities and defines impact on business units and other systems while providing input to development efforts.
• Maintains job requirements as per management plan requirements.
• Partners with the business to identify appropriate data sources and analytical methods to meet business needs.
• Supports the delivery of applications and solutions by participating in the design review and design process to articulate requirements and support proposed solutions.
• Reviews product design documents to ensure requirements are accurate, unambiguous and acceptable.
• Assists in developing user cases/reports to ensure all functional requirements are collected.
• Conducts impact assessments and supports application testing, implementation and training programs during this process.
• Works with external vendors to provide solutions.
• Identifies potential obstacles in the project and quickly collaborates with the project team.
• Collects, organizes and analyzes data from various data sources.
• Seek opportunities to improve customer user experience and productivity by supporting application development.
