Talan is seeking an IT Business Analyst to support a strategic regulatory technology implementation for the Compliance Department in NYC. The role emphasizes compliance, risk, and regulatory change projects within financial services, with strong analysis, process mapping, testing, and stakeholder management across business, technology, and vendor teams.

The position is a hybrid NYC role requiring at least 3 days onsite weekly.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as IT Business Analyst in financial services.
• Experience gathering requirements and mapping business processes.
• Experience coordinating UAT and testing deliverables.
• Familiarity with data integration and data migration.
• Experience with SaaS or enterprise software implementations.

Responsibilities

• Gather, document, and analyze business, functional, and technical requirements with Compliance, IT, and business stakeholders.
• Support RegTech implementation: configuration, integration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live activities.
• Map current/future state processes to improve regulatory workflows.
• Coordinate UAT including test cases, execution, defect tracking, and validation.
• Assist data migration and integration activities with data mapping and reconciliation.

We are seeking a talentedIT Business Analyst to support our client's Compliance Department on a strategic regulatory technology implementation initiative. The ideal candidate will have experience delivering compliance, risk, or regulatory change projects within financial services, with strong expertise in business analysis, process mapping, testing, and stakeholder management across business, technology, and third-party vendor teams.

Role and responsibilities

• Partner with Compliance, IT, and business stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business, functional, and technical requirements.
• Support the implementation of a regulatory technology (RegTech) solution, including configuration, integration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live activities.
• Conduct gap analyses and map current-state and future-state processes to improve regulatory and compliance workflows.
• Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test case creation, execution, defect tracking, and validation of delivered solutions.
• Support data migration and integration activities, including data mapping, validation, and reconciliation with internal systems.
• Collaborate with internal governance teams, Head Office stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure timely delivery and regulatory compliance.
• 5+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst within financial services.
• Strong experience with requirements gathering, process mapping, and business process improvement.
• Hands-on experience supporting SaaS or enterprise software implementation projects.
• Experience coordinating UAT activities and managing testing deliverables.
• Familiarity with data integration, data migration, user access management, and software delivery lifecycles.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in regulated environments with governance, risk, and compliance requirements.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Compliance, GRC, RegTech, or Regulatory Reporting platforms.
• Understanding of regulatory inventory, obligation management, and compliance risk management processes.
• Experience supporting API and system integration projects.
• Fluency in French is a plus.
