Job summary

Influx Info Sys is seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst to support the FANS modernization project and ongoing maintenance of FNW applications. The role will liaison between business owners, contract managers, SMEs, and development teams, facilitating JAD sessions and documenting requirements.

The ideal candidate has strong BA skills, experience in Agile environments, and a solid understanding of requirements management, process modeling, documentation, and software testing practices.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison among business owners, contract managers, SMEs, and developers.

Job Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst to support the FANS modernization project and ongoing maintenance of FNW applications.

The selected candidate will serve as a liaison between business owners, contract managers, subject matter experts, and development teams. Responsibilities include facilitating Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions, gathering and documenting business requirements, translating high-level requirements into functional and technical specifications, developing process models and workflow diagrams, and supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

The ideal candidate will have strong business analysis skills, experience working in Agile environments, and a solid understanding of requirements management, process modeling, technical documentation, and software testing practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, contract managers, subject matter experts, and development teams.
• Plan, coordinate, and facilitate Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions and requirements-gathering meetings.
• Gather, analyze, validate, and document business, functional, technical, and data requirements.
• Translate high-level business requirements into detailed functional specifications, technical specifications, use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Convert information from stakeholder meetings and existing documentation into process models, workflow diagrams, mock-ups, and process flow documentation.
• Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for process improvement, system enhancements, and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with development teams to clarify requirements and ensure proposed solutions align with business needs.
• Utilize Microsoft Azure DevOps and/or Team Foundation Server (TFS) to manage requirements, user stories, tasks, and project documentation.
• Develop and maintain business process documentation, functional specifications, technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and data dictionaries.
• Analyze existing system documentation and business workflows to derive business process and data requirements.
• Work closely with QA teams to review test scenarios, validate requirements coverage, and support defect resolution.
• Coordinate UAT schedules, facilitate testing sessions, and guide business users through application workflows.
• Support manual and automated testing activities as needed to validate application functionality against documented business requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve requirement gaps, clarify business rules, and ensure timely completion of project deliverables.
• Support the modernization and ongoing maintenance of FNW applications, including changes arising from evolving business needs and legislative requirements.
• Ensure documentation and deliverables comply with FDACS standards, project procedures, and established timelines.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of IT business or industry experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience performing business analysis on IT projects.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience working with Agile software development methodologies.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in requirements gathering, analysis, validation, and documentation.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps and/or Team Foundation Server (TFS).
• Minimum of 7 years of experience planning and facilitating JAD sessions with client stakeholders and subject matter experts.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience translating functional specifications into technical specifications for development teams.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience converting business requirements into use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience developing mock-ups, process models, workflow diagrams, and process flow documentation.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience creating technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience collaborating with QA teams, coordinating UAT schedules, conducting UAT sessions, and guiding business testers through application workflows.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience using process modeling and diagramming tools such as Microsoft Visio or equivalent tools.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining custom automated testing frameworks, such as frameworks based on the Page Object Model (POM).
• Minimum of 7 years of experience developing and executing automated test scripts using Selenium or similar automation tools.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience updating automation scripts to accommodate user interface changes and new feature deployments.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in REST API and microservices testing, including endpoint validation, contract checks, and payload verification.
• Proficiency in REST API testing tools such as Postman, Insomnia, or equivalent tools.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in manual testing, including test scenario development and execution against business requirements.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience developing and executing automated test scripts to validate system functionality and identify defects.
• Experience deriving business process and data requirements through analysis of existing systems, business workflows, and technical documentation.
• Experience creating and maintaining data dictionaries.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with in-depth knowledge or hands-on experience in the following areas:

• FNW business processes and operational workflows.
• Florida Automated Nutrition System (FANS) Application.
• Admin Review (AR) Application.

Education

A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent relevant work experience may be considered.
