Business Analyst – Equity Delivery
Role Overview: The Business Analyst role is an integral part of the Equity delivery team within TP ICAP Technology Change Management. The primary responsibility is to elicit, analyse and communicate detailed business and operational requirements to enable change across TP ICAP IT systems, ensuring that these changes align strategically with the needs and expectations of stakeholders from multiple business units.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with Product Managers, Product Owners and Development teams to design and build quality software solutions that align with the IT strategy and vision.
- Take ownership and accountability for the development of key features and drive them to completion.
- Lead in the analysis of stakeholder objectives, challenging problem statements to deliver clear requirement documentation for scope and prioritisation.
- Leverage AI tools to enhance analysis, documentation and stakeholder communication, accelerating BA deliverables while identifying efficiency improvements.
- Support governance of scope definition and guide estimation of work by leveraging domain and business knowledge.
- Communicate progress effectively and ensure impediments, risks and dependencies are tracked and raised early to minimise delivery impact.
- Assist team members to understand the focus and delivery value of each milestone and release.
- Be proactive in supporting the team’s engagement in a well‑defined SDLC that supports planning, prioritisation and delivery needs.
- Deliver against both functional and non‑functional requirements and manage ad‑hoc tasks as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- +4 years proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably with a finance or trading background.
- Knowledge of trading applications, order management and the full trade lifecycle.
- Understanding of the full project life cycle from requirements capture to implementation, testing and delivery.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines and differing priorities.
- Strong communication skills, including collaboration with local and remote team members.
- Experience with AI‑driven opportunities across equities trading workflows, translating business requirements into AI‑enabled solution specifications.
- Proficiency in Agile / SAFe delivery environments and issue management tools such as Jira.
- Knowledge of FIX and trade messaging protocols; familiarity with equity and equity derivative products.
- Experience with TDD, BDD or similar approaches for specifying requirements and design.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with excellent attention to detail, highly organised and proactive.
- Self‑starter with initiative, adaptability and a service mindset.
- Ability to develop new skills and understand new technology as required.
- Clear and concise documentation of complex information for project requirements.
