Job description

The IT Business Analyst will support manufacturing operations by serving as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver effective technology solutions. This role is responsible for gathering and documenting business requirements, preparing Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), supporting system testing and validation, performing User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and leading small-scale IT projects from initiation through implementation.

The position will support multiple IT initiatives across manufacturing facilities in Nashville, TN; Hopkinsville, KY; and Clarksville, TN, with a focus on improving operational efficiency, reducing risk, and delivering reliable technology solutions within a regulated manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements for IT solutions supporting manufacturing operations.
• Develop detailed Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), process flows, use cases, test cases, and other project documentation.
• Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure alignment between business requirements and technology solutions.
• Lead small-scale projects or workstreams, managing scope, schedule, cost, and deliverables.
• Facilitate meetings with internal teams, vendors, and third-party partners throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support system testing and validation activities, including Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), and Performance Qualification (PQ).
• Perform functionality, usability, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to verify solutions meet defined business requirements.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and UAT scenarios, document results, and coordinate defect resolution before go-live.
• Provide end-user training, documentation, and implementation support.
• Partner with support teams to transition completed projects into operational maintenance and provide post-implementation support.
• Lead end-to-end process improvement initiatives by identifying gaps, defining requirements, and implementing optimized workflows aligned with business objectives.
• Maintain project and transition documentation, including system configuration details, support guides, and knowledge-transfer materials.
• Coordinate knowledge transfer to IT operations and oversee successful system go-live activities within a manufacturing environment.
• Manage multiple priorities while collaborating with cross-functional teams across manufacturing and IT operations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• 5–8 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst, Project Manager, or in a related role, preferably involving the development, support, or implementation of IT solutions within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience gathering and documenting business and system requirements.
• Experience developing BRDs, process flows, use cases, test cases, and project documentation.
• Experience with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and system functionality testing.
• Proven ability to lead small projects and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
