SHAZAM Network - ITS, Inc. in Des Moines, IA is seeking an IT Auditor (SHAZAM Secure) to perform IT and regulatory audits for clients. The role requires preparing narratives, validating security controls, and delivering clear written and verbal findings to client management.

You will work in a hybrid Des Moines office environment, collaborating with teams to improve controls, governance, and cybersecurity posture while supporting client needs and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years IT audit or operational audit experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAS, NIST Standards, & Technology Governance.
• Knowledge of IT systems, cybersecurity, governance frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
• Relevant certifications (CISA, CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CIA) preferred or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Prepare walkthrough narratives and process documentation for key controls on critical systems and processes.
• Execute and document validation procedures to ensure security policies and controls are in place and effective.
• Use analytical thinking to understand processes and formulate recommendations.
• Provide written and verbal results to clients in a timely manner.
• Convey technical and control information to client management clearly.
• Provide detailed recommendations for corrective action.

This is a hybrid position based out of our Des Moines, IA office.

What We’re Looking For

SHAZAM is looking for an IT Auditor (SHAZAM Secure) to join our team. In this role, you will execute information technology audits, regulatory compliance audits, and consultative services for our clients.

What You'll Do

• Prepare walkthrough narratives and process documentation to assist in identifying key controls for critical systems and processes.
• Execute and document validation procedures to ensure required security policies, control objectives, processes, and procedures are in place and operating effectively.
• Use analytical and conceptual thinking to understand processes and formulate recommendations.
• Provide complete written and verbal results to the client in an accurate and timely manner.
• Effectively convey technical and control information to client's operating management.
• Provide detailed recommendations for corrective action.

What You Need

• Minimum 2 years of IT audit or operational audit experience.
• Strong knowledge of generally accepted audit standards (GAAS), NIST Standards, & Technology Governance.
• Knowledge of IT systems, cybersecurity, governance frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
• Relevant certifications (CISA, CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CIA) preferred or in progress.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
