Job summary

BNSF Railway is offering a Summer Intern position in Corporate Audit Services (IT Audit) for 2027 in Fort Worth, TX. The role provides hands-on exposure to auditing IT processes, governance, risk management, and internal controls within a major U.S. railroad.

Mentorship, workshops, and networking accompany real-world projects with potential full-time progression after graduation. The internship is housed in the Audit Department, with a flexible hybrid model allowing one remote day per week.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or business related discipline from an accredited university.
• Have and will maintain at least a 2.75 cumulative GPA.
• Have LESS THAN three (3) years of professional work experience, EXCLUDING internships, part‑time jobs, or positions held while pursuing my undergraduate and/or graduate degree.

Responsibilities

• Conduct analysis and testing as part of audits.
• Manage work assignments and timelines.
• Develop detailed test procedures that address audit objectives and significant risks.
• Interpret and evaluate audit evidence.
• Document work performed with conclusions and audit support.
• Present audit results in written and verbal formats.
• Daily work in an indoor office environment.
