BNSF Railway Laboratory Corporate Audit Services is seeking an IT Audit Management Trainee for 2027 in Fort Worth, TX. The program combines hands-on audits, risk assessments, and structured training to prepare trainees for leadership roles in auditing within transportation.

The full-time role starts with orientation in Fort Worth and includes mentorship, practical assignments, and exposure to railway operations. Travel is minimal and relocation is required if located more than 50 miles away.

Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in the United States and will be at least eighteen (18) years old upon hire.
• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or business related discipline from an accredited university.
• Have and will maintain at least a 2.75 cumulative GPA.
• Have LESS THAN three (3) years of professional work experience, EXCLUDING internships, part-time jobs, or positions held while pursuing my undergraduate and/or graduate degree.

Responsibilities

• Conduct analysis and testing as part of audits.
• Audit IT processes including application development, infrastructure, telecommunications, positive train control, security, and operational technologies.
• Audits can focus on revenue/finance and governance processes or operational processes.
• Manage work assignments and timelines.
• Develop detailed test procedures addressing audit objectives and risks under supervision.
• Interpret and evaluate audit evidence.
• Document work with conclusions and audit evidence.
• Present audit results in written and verbal formats.
