Job summary

The Commerce Bank Audit Intern role offers hands-on audit experience within a collaborative team. You’ll learn auditing techniques from seasoned professionals and test controls across diverse projects, while engaging with senior management and the Commerce culture.

Based in Kansas City, you’ll gain exposure to IT, Cybersecurity, and Data Analytics within the Audit Department, in a paid, full-time summer internship running 11 weeks from May 18, 2027 to July 30, 2027.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, MIS or related field.
• Hybrid schedule: in office 3 days per week.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Work with IT Audit and SOX testing teams.
• Rotate across Financial/Operational, Compliance, Branch Audit, and Data Analytics.
• Analyze and evaluate controls, processes and procedures.
• Perform independent testing in internal audits as assigned.
• Interact with business line personnel and management.
• Assist with special projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
