Job summary

Learning Consultant seeks an experienced IT Audit Director – Cyber, AI & Cloud to lead complex technology audits across cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, cloud infrastructure, resiliency, IT governance, and enterprise platforms. You will shape audit plans and oversee reviews from planning through reporting.

You will provide hands-on leadership, coach staff, and develop testing strategies while using data analytics and AI to enhance audit effectiveness.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of IT Audit, IT Risk Management, or Information Security experience.
• Strong expertise in cybersecurity, AI, or cloud infrastructure (AWS).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience coaching, mentoring, or providing feedback to audit professionals.

Responsibilities

• Lead audits covering cybersecurity, AI, cloud infrastructure, resiliency, IT governance, and enterprise technology platforms.
• Assess technology risks and determine areas requiring deeper audit analysis.
• Participate in annual audit planning focused on emerging and high-priority IT risks.
• Provide day-to-day leadership and project oversight to IT audit staff.
• Develop testing strategies, review audit work, and provide coaching and feedback.
• Perform hands-on testing of highly complex technical environments.
• Develop perspectives and recommendations related to cyber, AI, cloud, and resiliency risks.
• Serve as a technical resource and mentor to junior team members.
• Build strong relationships with technology and business stakeholders.
• Use data analytics, automation, and AI to improve audit testing and efficiency.
• Develop dashboards, visualizations, and analytical approaches that strengthen audit insights.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced IT Audit Director – Cyber, AI & Cloud to lead complex technology audits across cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, cloud infrastructure, resiliency, IT governance, and enterprise platforms.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can combine deep technical expertise with audit strategy, risk assessment, project leadership, and staff development. The successful candidate will help shape audit plans around current and emerging technology risks while leading high-visibility reviews from planning through reporting.

Must-Have Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in IT Audit, IT Risk Management, or Information Security.
• Strong expertise in at least one of the following:
• Cybersecurity
• Artificial Intelligence
• Cloud infrastructure, including AWS
• Strong project and audit-management experience.
• Experience coaching, mentoring, or providing feedback to audit professionals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with highly technical stakeholders.
• Strong critical-thinking and risk-assessment skills.

Data Analytics Experience

• Strong experience designing and creating data visualizations.
• Experience with tools such as:
• Power BI
• Tableau
• Plotly
• Seaborn
• Coding and analytics experience using Python, including libraries such as SciPy, NumPy, and/or PySpark.

AI Experience

• Experience using AI tools to improve audit effectiveness and efficiency.
• Demonstrated experience auditing AI solutions and AI-related risks.
• Knowledge of agentic AI architectures and associated risks.
• Ability to responsibly apply emerging AI technologies within audit and risk-management processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in IT Audit, IT Risk Management, or Information Security.
• 5+ years of direct IT Audit experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Master's degree or MBA in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Mathematics, or a related field preferred.
• One or more of the following certifications preferred:
• CISA
• CISSP
• CEH
• CRISC
• CISM
