Job summary

Game Kings seeks an IT Audit Director to lead hands-on audits focused on cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, cloud infrastructure, resiliency, and related technologies within our complex tech environment.

The role is full-time in Reston with a hybrid schedule (minimum 3 days in-office). Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in IT audit or security, strong data analytics, and the ability to translate complex tech risk into clear findings and actionable improvements.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in IT Audit, IT Risk Management, or Information Security.
• Expert knowledge of cybersecurity, AI, or cloud infrastructure.
• Strong project management skills.
• Experience coaching and providing feedback to audit staff.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate with technical experts.
• Strong critical-thinking skills.
• Strong data analytics capabilities: data visualization, Python, SciPy/NumPy/PySpark.
• Experience using AI solutions to improve audit effectiveness and efficiency.
• Auditing AI solutions and related risks.
• Knowledge of agentic AI architectures and associated risks.
• Curiosity to learn and apply emerging technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex, hands-on IT audits in cybersecurity, AI, and cloud.
• Drive audit program effectiveness and risk mitigation across tech environments.
• Coach and develop audit staff; provide actionable feedback.
• Communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Apply data analytics to audits, including Power BI/Tableau visualizations.

The IT Audit Director – Cyber, AI and Cloud will lead complex, hands‑on IT audits focused on cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, cloud infrastructure, resiliency, and related technologies within our complex technology environment.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in IT Audit, IT Risk Management, or Information Security.
• Expert knowledge of at least one of the following:

• 10+ years of IT Audit, IT Risk Management, or Information Security experience.
• 5+ years of IT Audit experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Master's degree and/or MBA in:

  • Related field
• One or more of the following certifications:
  • CISA
  • CISSP

• Experience performing internal audit within a large, complex organization.
