The Employee Connect is seeking an IT Audit Director to lead cybersecurity, AI, and cloud technology risk within a regulated financial services environment. Based in Washington, DC, this hybrid, permanent role offers high-visibility with executives and the audit committee.

You will direct risk-based internal audits, shape annual audit plans, evaluate AI governance and cloud security, and develop a team of IT audit managers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required and extensive IT audit/technology risk experience in financial services or consulting preferred.
• Deep knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST CSF and ISO 27001.
• Hands-on experience auditing public cloud environments such as AWS or Azure.
• Proven leadership and executive-level communication skills.
• Active CISA, CISSP, CRISC, or comparable professional certification.

About the Role

A well-established financial institution experiencing rapid market growth is hiring an IT Audit Director to lead its technology audit coverage of cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and cloud platforms. This leader will shape how the internal audit function evaluates emerging technology risk across a complex, highly regulated enterprise. The role offers visibility with senior executives and the audit committee, along with a hybrid schedule and strong long-term stability.

The ideal candidate has led technology audit teams in a regulated financial services environment and can translate complex cyber, cloud, and AI risks into clear business terms. You are comfortable challenging senior technology leaders and presenting directly to an audit committee.

• Master's degree in business, cybersecurity, or information systems
