Job summary

Coinbase is seeking an Internal Audit Analytics Associate to join the IT Internal Audit team within Finance. You will extract, analyze, and validate data to assess IT and security controls, translating audit requests into precise SQL-based extracts.

You’ll build dashboards, test ETL processes, and collaborate with Engineering, Security, and IT to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. Base salary is disclosed publicly for US roles.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of data analytics experience in tech/fintech/finance or related fields.
• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics or related field.
• Demonstrated ability to write complex SQL queries against large datasets (e.g., Snowflake).
• Working knowledge of IT operations, security infrastructure and enterprise tech stacks.
• Experience testing/validating data ETL workflows and data quality checks.
• Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight.

Responsibilities

• Execute in-depth data analysis to assess IT and security control effectiveness with SQL.
• Validate changes by testing compliance and performance impact and document results.
• Produce data extracts and reports from multiple sources for audit findings.
• Test ETL processes across pipelines to ensure data completeness and accuracy.
• Design and enhance dashboards to measure IT/security performance and insights.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Security, and IT to communicate findings clearly.
