Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA is offering an IT Assurance Internship in the USA, with a hybrid work setup requiring at least three days in the office. You will gain hands-on experience in risk management, internal controls, and assurance practices while supporting design and operating effectiveness of IT processes.

This paid internship provides mentorship and opportunities to present work to leaders. Current students pursuing degrees in Accounting, IT, or Operations Management are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Information Technology, Operations Management, or related field.
• Demonstrates initiative, energy, and a strong desire to learn and achieve results.
• Communicates clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with active listening.
• Able to evaluate processes, identify risks, and develop practical recommendations.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist in testing and documenting IT and business process controls.
• Analyze data to identify control deficiencies, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Support assurance activities by validating control design and operating effectiveness.
• Collaborate with business partners to evaluate and strengthen internal controls.
• Identify control gaps and develop practical recommendations to enhance the control environment.
• Participate in projects and engage with cross-functional teams.
