Allegion is seeking an IT Business Analyst I to join our ERP and business transformation delivery team in the United States. You will analyze, specify, propose and partner with subject matter experts to define solutions using Microsoft AX/Dynamics Finance and Operations.

Primary focus areas include Sales Order Management, operations, and Supply Chain. You will gather requirements, document processes, and assist with ERP upgrades and implementations while collaborating with onshore and offshore

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience in business/IT
• 1+ years experience in large manufacturing or distribution operations
• 1+ years experience with ERP functionality, especially Supply Chain and/or Manufacturing
• Understanding of end-to-end sales life cycle processes
• Experience supporting upgrades or implementations
• Ability to work independently and with others both in person and remotely
• Excellent communication skills across all levels and formal presentations
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills and sense of urgency

Responsibilities

• Gather and document business requirements under guidance of senior analysts
• Analyze business processes and identify improvement opportunities
• Learn ERP functionality, configurations, and standard business processes
• Create and maintain business requirements, functional specs, processes, and training materials
• Evaluate practical ERP solutions that support business needs and promote standard functionality
• Contribute to end-to-end test case creation and execution across multiple scenarios
• Document test results, identify issues, and track defects to resolution
• Support user acceptance testing and confirm understanding of proposed solutions
• Collaborate with analysts, ERP developers, consultants, and support teams to ensure requirements are understood and implemented
• Triage ERP incidents and support requests, escalate complex issues
• Coordinate handoffs between onshore, offshore, internal, and external teams
• Participate in meetings to understand current processes and needs
• Assist with ERP upgrades, implementations, deployments, and improvements
• Maintain documentation related to processes, data integrity, testing, and support procedures
• Develop familiarity with Allegion business and ERP applications
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned

IT Business Analyst I

Allegion is seeking an IT Business Analyst I to join our ERP and business transformation delivery team. Primary responsibilities will include analyzing, specifying, proposing, and partnering with subject matter experts to define the best solutions to meet business requirements using knowledge and expertise around the Microsoft AX and Dynamics Finance and Operations ERP systems. The primary focus areas with the business will be Sales Order Management, operations, and Supply Chain. This person will apply proven communication, analytic, and problem-solving skills ensuring alignment with IT and overall business transformation strategies. The IT Business Analyst I formulates, recommends, and helps validate solutions that can be applied regionally and globally.

What you will do:

• Support the gathering and documentation of business requirements under the guidance of experienced Business Analysts and project leaders.
• Assist with analyzing business processes and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Learn and research ERP functionality, system setups, configuration options, and standard business processes.
• Help create and maintain business requirements, functional specifications, process documentation, and training materials.
• Assist with evaluating practical business system solutions that support business needs and promote standard ERP functionality where appropriate.
• Participate in the creation and execution of end‑to‑end test cases covering multiple business scenarios.
• Document test results, identify issues, and assist with tracking defects through resolution.
• Work with business users to support user acceptance testing and confirm understanding of proposed solutions.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, ERP Developers, consultants, and support teams to help ensure functional requirements are understood and implemented correctly.
• Assist with triaging ERP incidents and support requests, escalating more complex issues to the appropriate team members.
• Support coordination and handoffs between onshore, offshore, internal, and external support teams.
• Participate in meetings with business users and subject matter experts to understand current processes and system needs.
• Assist with ERP upgrades, implementations, deployments, and continuous improvement activities.
• Help maintain accurate documentation related to system processes, data integrity, testing, and support procedures.
• Develop familiarity with the Allegion business, ERP applications, and global and regional business processes.
• Perform other duties and participate in projects as assigned.

What you need to succeed:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field
• 1+ years experience working within large manufacturing (multi‑national) or distribution operations
• 1+ years experience working with or implementing ERP Application functionality – with emphasis on Supply Chain and/or Manufacturing related business activities
• Understanding of end to end sales life cycle processes
• Experience supporting upgrades and/or application implementations
• Experience developing comprehensive business requirements, functional design documents, completing impact assessments, and contributing to business cases that identify value of the change
• Ability to work independently as well as to collaborate effectively with others in person and remotely
• Excellent communication skills with all levels. Proven ability to lead and communicate orally, in written documents, and in formal presentations is required
• Team player, change agent, and customer‑driven mentality
• Analytical approach to problem‑solving, solid conceptual skills and willingness to learn, sense of urgency and commitment for a job well done.
• Strong work ethic, results oriented
• Demonstrated ability to successfully prioritize and participate in multiple initiatives simultaneously
• Base understanding of data integrity and audit / compliance procedures
• Up to 0‑35% travel at times

Bonus Points:

• Applicable Techno‑functional knowledge within Microsoft Dynamics Finance and Operations ERP is a big plus
• Basic familiarity with relational databases (MS‑SQL), PowerBI and reporting concepts
• Comfortable using SQL and other tools to work with data for ad hoc analysis
• Prefer experience working on a global (multi‑Region) ERP projects
