Job summary

State of California seeks an Information Technology Assistant Chief to direct policy development and the implementation of IT programs across CJIS bureaus (ESB, ADB and TSB) and the Firearms IT Systems Modernization project.

You will provide executive guidance on IT services and security, bridge gaps between bureaus, and represent CJIS in meetings with federal, state and local partners; flexible schedules and telecommuting options may be available.

Qualifications

• Experience developing and implementing IT policies and procedures.
• Experience reviewing information technology legislation for impact analysis.
• Experience managing a large professional IT staff.
• Experience providing executive-level consultation on IT services and security.
• Experience IT contract management and procurement.

Responsibilities
