About this role

Responsible for tracking and securing IT assets and maintaining the College’s computer hardware and software inventory system utilizing IT Service Management (ITSM) and IT Asset Management (ITAM) systems. Travels to all campus locations of the College as needed.

What a day of an IT Asset Management Specialist looks like:
  • Actively participates in inventory control activities of the department by tracking software or hardware assets; takes physical inventories of equipment or material.
  • Maintains college-wide software database including vendor, purchasing and licensing information.
  • Accurately logs and updates service requests.
  • Maintains accurate customer information for future retrieval.
  • Escalates a customer inquiry or problem to the next level of response, as required.
  • Ensures end-user compliance with software licensing agreements.
  • Transports materials and equipment to, from and within storage areas and operating areas.
  • Installs, troubleshoots and repairs computer-based hardware, software, and peripherals to include local and network printers.
  • Applies appropriate security measures for physical access to hardware devices, access to data or programs, and confidentiality of user passwords.
  • Provides support and technical services to departments, other campuses, off-site locations and college-based functions that may require travel.
  • Coordinates job related activities between college departments and other outside organizations.
  • Interacts with vendors, contractors and other departments to convey technical project requirements, as well as monitor and evaluate services performed.
  • Arranges with outside vendors for repair and maintenance of computer equipment and machinery.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

The minimum base pay for this position starts at $19.52 per hour; however, the offer may vary based on the candidate’s education and experience.
