Job summary

Patrick Industries, a leading manufacturing and solutions provider, seeks an IT Manager for Software & Hardware Asset Management in Elkhart, Indiana. You will lead SAM/HAM programs, maintain accurate inventories, and drive license compliance and cost optimization across the technology estate.

You will partner with IT leadership to align asset management with vendor contracts, perform audits, and implement lifecycle discipline across software and hardware assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, or related field.
• 7+ years of IT experience.
• 3+ years of managing software and/or hardware asset management.
• Experience with SAM/HAM tools, CMDB platforms, and license management systems.
• Experience in decentralized, multi-site, or acquisition-driven environments preferred.
• Manufacturing or industrial sector experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a complete and accurate inventory of software licenses, entitlements, and deployments.
• Manage software license compliance, true-ups, and audit readiness.
• Track renewals, expirations, and utilization to identify saving opportunities.
• Partner with vendor management to right-size license counts and eliminate unused licenses.
• Establish and maintain asset workflows for software requests, approvals, and provisioning.
• Maintain a complete inventory of hardware assets across lifecycle, from procurement to disposal.
• Manage hardware refresh cycles, warranty tracking, and end-of-life planning.
• Establish asset tagging, receiving, deployment, and retirement processes.
• Ensure secure and compliant disposal or redeployment of retired assets.
• Produce asset governance reports and support internal/external audits.
• Drive cost reduction opportunities across software licensing and hardware procurement.
