Job Overview

The Information Technology Asset Management Hardware Analyst serves as a technical consultant and coordinator for complex hardware asset management projects and large service requests within Information Technology initiatives. This IT Asset Management Hardware Analyst will support IT construction projects and may require onsite involvement depending on the project. For example, for clinic relocations, you would ensure all IT requirements are incorporated during the clinic design phase. You would also participate in key construction-related decisions before building begins.


This role involves leading projects, optimizing asset utilization, collaborating with IT and procurement teams, and providing expert guidance on hardware lifecycle management. Responsibilities include providing comprehensive analysis and modeling, recommending optimal technical solutions to project teams and program managers, and ensuring clear, concise requirements are captured from customers. The Analyst is accountable for coordinating execution workflows, facilitating solution design, scheduling resources to align project work, and communicating projected labor requirements to delivery teams and leadership. Effective communication with various departments, vendors, and leadership is essential to ensure accurate asset tracking, timely delivery, and deployment of hardware, while maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction.


Responsibilities


  • Lead complex hardware asset management projects, optimizing asset utilization and reducing costs.

  • Manage project planning, solution designs, configurations, and implementation tasks to deliver robust environments that meet customer requirements.

  • Collect, consolidate, evaluate, and refine project requirements with customers, translating them into technical requirements, and recommending solutions.

  • Assist Hardware team with project assessment, estimation, resource requirements, and solution requirements.

  • Manage effective relationships and work in partnership with customers, leadership, team members, vendors, and contractors to deliver robust technical solutions while ensuring service level commitments and project timelines are maintained.

  • Facilitate and coordinate project purchases, execution resources, and vendors.

  • Report budget estimates and actuals to the appropriate managers.

  • Manage vendor relationships and coordinate procurement activities.

  • Plan, execute, and track asset lifecycle management.

  • Work with technology teams to ensure project deployments are operationally ready and new technologies are fully handed off to Service Operations staff for ongoing support.

  • Provide analytical and technical expertise to ensure successful project implementation and outstanding service delivery.

  • Actively manage a portfolio of projects and serve as the team’s liaison for project requirements information, clarification, and questions.

  • Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures.

  • Meet regularly and provide status updates to the Asset Management team and department leadership, ensuring overall project alignment and execution.

  • Provide technical leadership, guidance, and training to junior team members.

  • Analyze and provide input to the continual improvement of processes, policies, and best practices to ensure the highest possible customer satisfaction.

  • Manage the maintenance of records and databases containing information regarding assets, licenses, warranties, services, and lease agreements for the organization's hardware and software to address proper documentation, compliance, and inventory

  • Tracking and reporting of hardware and software assets analyzing large amounts of data and trends. Reporting dashboards with KPIs that may provide recommendation of best practices, warn of potential risks to the organization, provide compliance information, enhance visibility to asset status’s and provide financial cost avoidance or cost savings.

  • Champion IT delivery processes and strategies.

  • Responsible for performing work at multiple Fairview sites and transporting equipment, as needed within a scheduled shift. Then need license.

  • Mentor and train junior team members.

  • Provide regular status updates to stakeholders and leadership.

  • Improve processes, policies, and best practices for customer satisfaction.

  • Define performance metrics, conduct data analysis, and automate reporting.

  • Perform work at multiple sites and transport equipment as needed.


Required Qualifications


  • B.S./B.A. in computer science or related field or

  • Combination Education & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in an IT role, including 2 years’ experience with deployment and technology migration.

  • Possesses 3+ years of experience in IT and asset management. Proficient in managing IT assets, including tracking, deployment, and maintenance. Demonstrates the ability to work independently and contribute to asset management projects effectively.

  • 2+ years’ experience leading projects including large-scale projects with a proven track record of achieving business outcomes that differentiate the organization in the marketplace.

  • 5+ years’ experience in designing, configuring, implementing, and operating endpoint solutions, including desktops, laptops, tablets, phones, networks, printers, and scanners. Demonstrates strong technical knowledge and competency in managing these devices effectively.

  • Possesses advanced decision-making skills to deliver optimal technology solutions tailored to customer needs.

  • Leads workflow and training for deployment and technology migration projects, ensuring efficient team performance.

  • Demonstrates the ability to guide and support team members in their tasks and projects. Shows potential in providing constructive feedback, sharing knowledge, and motivating team members to achieve their goals.

  • 1+ years growing ability to manage vendor relationships and procurement processes. Provides support in vendor selection, negotiation, and coordination, as well as equipment procurement. Demonstrates effective communication and problem‑solving skills in vendor interactions and procurement activities.

  • Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills, effectively relating technical information to non-technical audiences. Demonstrates excellent customer service focus, organizational skills, and teamwork. Beginning to manage stakeholder relationships and navigate diverse perspectives.

  • Possesses growing proficiency in budget creation, planning, and reporting. Able to prepare detailed budgets and financial reports and perform data analysis to generate meaningful metrics. Demonstrates the ability to identify trends and provide insights based on data.

  • Exhibits a solid understanding of IT service management tools, such as ServiceNow. Capable of utilizing these tools to streamline IT processes, manage incidents, and track service requests. Shows proficiency in configuring and customizing the tool to meet organizational needs, ensuring efficient workflow and improved service delivery.

  • Reliable transportation to perform work at multiple sites during a scheduled shift.

  • Ability to occasionally work flexible hours, evenings/weekends, depending on project requirements.

  • Drivers License


Preferred Qualifications


  • B.S./B.A. in computer science or related field.

  • 6+ years working in IT operations, delivery, and support in an enterprise (10,000+ users) or healthcare environment

  • Hardware Asset Management Specialist (HAMS) Certification.

  • Most current version of ITIL Foundations certification

  • Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional (CHAMP).

The posted pay range is for a 40-hour workweek (1.0 FTE). The actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions.
