Job summary

Bowhead Family of Companies seeks an Asset Management Technician at Vandenberg SFB to oversee IT asset lifecycle management, procurement, and inventory control in a DoD environment. You will maintain licenses, warranties, and service agreements, ensuring compliance and readiness for mission systems.

Responsibilities include real-time asset reporting, forecasting, and collaboration with IT, cybersecurity, and procurement teams. A DoD mindset and strong documentation discipline are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years logistics or supply chain experience, preferably DoD.
• 2+ years asset management and 2+ years IT financial planning/reporting.
• Experience with Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) management preferred.
• Must meet DoD 8570.01-M IAT II or IAM I within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Maintain auditable records of hardware, software, licenses, warranties, and service agreements.
• Plan and record software licenses and hardware inventory for compliance.
• Provide real-time IT asset reporting and lifecycle status.
• Track usage trends and forecast acquisitions and refresh cycles.
• Coordinate with IT, cybersecurity, and procurement for compliance and deployment.
• Support audits, inspections, and internal control readiness.
• Manage asset procurement, receipt, storage, issuance, and disposition.
• Protect assets and ensure secure shipping/receiving of equipment.
