Job summary

Delta Solutions and Services Bowhead seeks a Senior Network/System Administrator for a hybrid role at Vandenberg SFB. You will manage DoD mission IT infrastructure, including network and system administration, security, and RMF compliance.

The role requires DoD 8140 certifications, 7+ years of experience, VMware/Hyper‑V virtualization, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and strong troubleshooting. You will mentor junior admins and coordinate with ISSOs to ensure mission readiness.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of DoD or mission-critical network/system experience.
• Master's degree in IT/CS or equivalent.
• DoD 8140 certification requirements to be achieved within 6 months of hire.
• Ability to provide after-hours support as required to maintain operational readiness.
• Proficient with enterprise monitoring, virtualization, and CM tools.

Responsibilities

• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers across LAN, WAN, and data center environments.
• Implement routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP) for secure, redundant traffic flow.
• Design VLANs, trunking, and port security configurations to maintain segmentation and resiliency.
• Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Install, configure, and maintain VDI environments and user access control policies.
• Perform system and data backups, patching, and recovery testing.
• Coordinate RMF accreditation and security requirements with ISSOs and cybersecurity personnel.
• Provide after-hours support during mission operations and contingencies.
