Job summary

Abacus Technology is seeking an IT Property Custodian to support asset management for Langley AFB. This full-time role focuses on IT hardware accountability and lifecycle activities, with duties spanning reconciliation, documentation, and regulatory compliance.

The candidate will use government asset-management systems and SharePoint, ensuring accurate turn-in and transfer processes while maintaining security posture and customer service standards. Clearance eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in IT property accountability, asset management, logistics, and inventory management.
• HS diploma or GED is required.
• Experience with Windows Desktop OS and Microsoft Office is preferred.
• Familiar with asset identification, inventory, and tracking.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a government vehicle authorization with Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Primary Property Custodian with IT asset-management and accountability responsibilities.
• Serve as the alternate Property Custodian and perform asset reconciliations and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with government, Air Force, and local IT hardware asset policies.
• Prepare equipment issue/transfer/turn-in documentation for DLA processes.
• Manage IT hardware lifecycle activities following approved procedures.
• Utilize tracking tools, databases, and SharePoint for property management.
• Provide guidance on IT asset-management procedures to customer organizations.
• Identify, track, and maintain accountability of computer hardware and peripherals.
• Support DEMIL and disposition activities for classified assets per NSA and DoW requirements.
