Job summary
Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute seeks an Area IT Manager to lead a team delivering high-quality technical support across the assigned geographic area. You will ensure the IT environment meets business needs and is delivered on time and within budget.
The role requires 5+ years in healthcare IT with 2+ years leadership, a degree in CS/Business or related discipline, and strong stakeholder management. It is a stakeholder-facing position with broad impact and responsibility.
Qualifications
- Minimum five years of experience in a healthcare IT organization with progressive responsibilities.
- Minimum two years direct leadership experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in CS/Business or related discipline preferred; valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver an appropriately resourced IT Service organization within assigned geographic area.
- Resource the quality of Service, technical environment performance; ensuring future demand from growth and projects is understood and factored into capacity plans for all associated systems
- Contribute to resource planning, budget surveillance, and project planning to provide an ever‑improving technical environment across multiple clinical locations with an assigned area.
- Monitor and control key performance indicators related to service delivery, customer satisfaction, cost, and performance.
- Lead and supervise a team of hands‑on technical support staff to appropriately service assigned area.
- Act as the voice of the customer, continually advocate for and deliver improved customer experiences through technical expertise, business planning, and customer support.

Summary: The Area IT Manager leads a team of assigned technical staff to plan and complete key functions that enable the delivery of high‑quality technical support service to end users, to ensure the technical environment within the assigned geographic area is appropriately maintained, and the technical resources required to meet business needs are delivered on‑time and within budget. This position is a stakeholder facing role with wide impact, requires relationship management, technical management, and a high degree of personal responsibility.

Minimum education requirement to successfully perform in role (high school diploma or equivalent being the minimum requirement across all positions within FCS). Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Business, or related discipline is preferred. Valid state Driver’s License.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a healthcare related information technology organization demonstrating progressive responsibilities. Minimum two (2) years direct leadership experience.
