Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation seeks a motivated Developer I to join our integration development team, supporting API and integration development using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. You will work with architects, analysts, and senior developers to build secure, scalable integrations between cloud and on-premise systems.

The ideal candidate has foundational software development experience and familiarity with HTTP/REST/JSON/XML, SQL, and API testing tools, with a strong desire to learn

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 1 year IT apps design/development/test/maintenance experience acceptable.
• Experience with APIs, integrations, or automation is a plus.
• Familiarity with Git and REST/JSON/XML technologies is preferred.

Gulfstream is seeking a motivated and technically curious individual to join our integration development team. This position will support the development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of APIs and integrations using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. The Developer I will work alongside senior developers, designers, business analysts, and architects to build secure, reliable, and scalable integrations between cloud and on-premise applications.This role provides an excellent opportunity to build technical expertise in API development, enterprise integrations, MuleSoft technologies, and modern software development practices while supporting critical business applications.

Desired Skills

The ideal candidate will possess one or more of the following:

• Academic, internship, or professional experience with software development.
• Exposure to APIs, system integrations, or automation technologies.
• Basic understanding of Git and version control concepts.
• Familiarity with web technologies including HTTP, REST, JSON, and XML.
• Basic knowledge of relational databases and SQL concepts.
• Exposure to API testing tools such as Postman.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and willingness to learn new technologies.

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or relevant curriculum required.or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 1 year experience in IT applications to include design, development, test, and maintenance experience in mainframe or server based technologies. Master's Degree or PhDmay be used to offset one year of experience.Position Purpose:

Responsible for developing code in support of new application functionality or defect remediation according to design specifications.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:Essential Functions:

• Codes and documents software programs in accordance with design specifications.
• Creates unit and integration test plans.
• Performs unit and integration testing.
• Participates in peer code reviews.
• Supports application deployment.

Additional Functions:

• Proactively identifies opportunities to improve existing methodologies, processes or other areas of application delivery performance. .
• Proactively communicates issues and status as required. .

Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements:

• Experience with software development methodologies, the software development lifecycle (SDLC), and best practices required.
• Experience working in teams.
• Proficiency with an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) desired.
• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Exercises problem solving and creativity when developing code, to create efficient, reusable software, which results in minimal maintenance. .
• Basic communications (oral and written and interpersonal) skills. Proven ability to develop effective relationships with peers and first level management.
