Job summary

Penn State IT is seeking applicants for the part-time job/internship of IT Applications Specialist. This position will support new and existing software applications for Penn State University Police and Public Safety. Duties include designing, developing, testing, and supporting software, analyzing user requirements, and creating reports.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, debug, install, implement, modify, and/or support new or existing applications software
• Work with users to analyze their requirements; participate in project planning efforts
• Provide end user consultation, functional support, training, documentation, and guidance
• Develop application and website components, features, modules, and templates
• Prepare and execute test plans; follow test cases and established procedures for testing
• May develop, produce, and optimize customized reports in response to user requirements
• May design and implement new features and/or integrations for existing software
