Job summary

Kaiser Permanente seeks a Technical Leader to drive the development of internet applications, software tools, and cloud-based integrations. You will partner with product teams to define the product vision and oversee end-to-end delivery across CMS, cloud apps, and traditional integrations.

You will guide architecture, design, development, and testing of member-facing systems while ensuring alignment with KP IT security and development standards, leading cross-functional teams to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; six years of software development experience may substitute.
• Minimum five years in projects with SDLC implementation.
• Minimum two years in a technical leadership role with or without direct reports.
• Minimum four years developing and/or implementing web-based applications.
• Minimum three years experience with cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Minimum three years experience with web app frameworks (Angular, HTML5, CSS, GraphQL).

In addition to the responsibilities listed below, this technical leader position is also responsible for driving the development of internet applications and software tools. This includes collaborating with product teams to understand and define the product vision, and overseeing the development and support of end-to-end solutions including architecting, designing, developing, and testing member-facing applications/systems using cloud, content management systems (CMS) and traditional integrations. This position is also responsible for driving the development of cloud applications, CMS, and integration solutions on a variety of platforms; researching and resolving technical issues and recommending appropriate interventions/modifications on critical issues; and ensuring work processes and products meet KP IT security and development standards.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Conducts or oversees business-specific projects by applying deep expertise in subject area; promoting adherence to all procedures and policies; developing work plans to meet business priorities and deadlines; determining and carrying out processes and methodologies; coordinating and delegating resources to accomplish organizational goals; partnering internally and externally to make effective business decisions; solving complex problems; escalating issues or risks, as appropriate; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; evaluating recommendations made; and influencing the completion of project tasks by others.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field and six (6) years experience in software development or a related field. Additional equivalent work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
• Minimum five (5) years experience working on project(s) involving the implementation of solutions development life cycles (e.g., SDLC).
• Minimum two (2) years in a technical leadership role with or without direct reports.
• Minimum four (4) years experience developing and/or implementing web-based applications.
• Minimum three (3) years experience in developing and utilizing cloud based technologies (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS, GCP, etc.).
• Minimum three (3) years experience working with web application frameworks (e.g., Angular, HTML5, CSS, GraphQL, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Three (3) years experience developing micro services and APIs (e.g., Java, Node.js, NoSQL DBs, etc.).
• Four (4) years experience in utilizing DevSecOps practices (e.g. Git, Jenkins, Mavin, SonarQube, etc.)
