Job summary

Jobtailor in Lakeland, FL is seeking a Senior IT Leader to oversee planning, development, and implementation of programming activities and systems. You will staff and manage the technical team, ensure feasibility studies and accurate time/cost estimates, and align application projects with business priorities.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree, 10+ years of related experience, and at least 2 years of leadership, with IBMi (iSeries/AS/400) experience preferred.

• Apply best practices and appropriately staff and manage the technical team
• Ensure completion of feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs
• Plan and coordinate processes required to provide user applications and systems for business operations
• Support short- and long-term application systems plans aligned with business needs and priorities
• Coach and manage staff performance
• Participate in talent selection, development, and performance management decisions
• Provide training to new team members
• Oversee team priorities and coordinate daily tasks
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum 10 years of related experience
• Minimum 2 years of leadership experience
• IBMi (iSeries, AS/400) experience is preferred
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employment visa sponsorship
• Typically manages 2 or more reports
• Operates under policies and procedures with limited oversight
• Experience overseeing team priorities and coordinating daily tasks
