Job summary

Insight Global in Dallas, TX is seeking an experienced Development & Integration specialist to design, build, and maintain backend solutions using SQL, APIs, SSIS, and IBM Integration Broker/App Connect.

You will partner with business units to implement system integrations, develop SQL scripts, create Crystal Reports/BOBJ, and ensure data integrity across production environments. A strong SDLC background and hands-on BI tooling are required.

Qualifications

• 3-7 years of experience in application support, reporting, database development, and systems integration.
• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle and/or Microsoft SQL Server, including advanced SQL scripting.
• Experience developing, supporting, and troubleshooting system integrations using REST and SOAP APIs.
• Solid understanding of ETL processes and data integration methodologies.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex production issues across apps, DBs, and integrations.
• Familiarity with SDLC, testing methodologies, and change management processes.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Perform root cause analysis and data reconciliation when failures occur
• Respond to production incidents, service requests, and support tickets
• Participate in testing efforts, including unit, integration, and user acceptance testing
• Document technical processes, system changes, and support procedures

Collaboration & Process Improvement

• Partner with business users to understand requirements and identify opportunities for automation
• Analyze data and business processes to improve efficiency and system reliability
• Ensure solutions comply with security standards, company policies, and best practices
