Title : IT Application Operations Specialist - Remote (5 Openings)
Location : Remote
Duration : 12 Months with possible extensions.
Positions will be Remote within the United States.
Description :
This position is NonExempt. Hours over 40 will be paid at Time and a Half.
Qualifications :
- 10+ YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN THE FOLLOWING :
Responsibilities :
- Resolve or escalate calls entered into the support system by Level 1 Analysts.
- Review problem tickets and respond to users within established standards.
- Resolve open tickets promptly and professionally.
- Follow SOPs and BOPs.
- Manage crisis escalation and escalate calls to other support groups if unresolved.
- Provide excellent customer service; participate in other projects as needed.
Competencies :
- Strong customer service, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Understanding of Windows applications.
- Ability to diagnose software and hardware issues.
- Recognize priority issues and escalate accordingly.
- Translate technical terms for non-technical users.
Working Knowledge of :
- Modems, data communications, PC network connections.
- Memory issues, network and Internet password resets.
- Internet proxy configurations, application installation and setup.
- NT navigation, Windows disk utilities, network error troubleshooting.
Qualifications :
- Associate degree in Computer Science or related field, plus 2-4 years IT experience, or equivalent experience.
- Sufficient knowledge of IT operations and workflows to resolve most inquiries independently.
- Good analytical and communication skills; sound judgment.
- 4-year degree in IT preferred; if not, at least 4 years of administrative experience.
- Certifications are a plus.
Preferred Requirements :
- Knowledge of Atlassian Products, especially Jira Service Management.
- Experience working with managers and high-level communication skills.
- Experience collaborating closely with IT teams.
Top 3 Skills :
- Experience working with APIs and tools.
- Atlassian knowledge/experience.
- SharePoint administration background.
Preferred Skills :
- Experience with Atlassian Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, vendor management, technical background, programming, and good communication skills.
Daily Tasks :
- Processing Jira requests, meeting with managers, vendor onboarding, collaborating with AppOps team.
Work Environment :
- Remote work; communication via Slack, Teams, email; meetings with managers and team members.
Experience :
- Minimum 4 years experience; 15 years relevant experience with an AS degree considered.
