Amazon Stores FinTech Team is seeking a Support Engineer to support Financial Planning & Analytics suite of products and play a key role in planning and month-end processes by working closely with customers, engineers, and finance teams. We build and support Amazon's worldwide stores, one of the fastest-growing and most complex supply chains globally. This position requires high technical expertise in IBM Cognos TM1/Planning Analytics.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Serve as a subject matter and technology expert, providing advanced support and troubleshooting for complex customer issues.
  2. Analyze and diagnose problems, identify root causes, and recommend solutions.
  3. Collaborate with development teams to improve service support, build tools, and dashboards.
  4. Lead escalation and collaboration with cross-functional teams for resolution of complex issues.
  5. Manage complex issues requiring multi-team engagement, focusing on customer experience.
  6. Deconstruct problems into simple, actionable solutions.
  7. Create tutorials, videos, and technical articles for the AWS community.
  8. Resolve technical problems by harmonizing different views and leading contentious issue resolution.
  9. Handle critical incidents spanning multiple AWS services.
  10. Define metrics to monitor system performance and product adoption.
  11. Develop operational policies and procedures.
  12. Mentor and train junior support engineers.
  13. Represent support engineering in strategic discussions, providing technical guidance.
  14. Contribute to technical and business strategy through insights and priorities.
  15. Partner with leaders for data-driven decision making.
  16. Lead support retrospectives and drive improvements, contributing to COEs or RCAs.
  17. Communicate effectively with leadership, welcoming diverse perspectives and feedback.
  18. Deliver valuable customer outcomes efficiently.
  19. Identify opportunities to improve operational excellence through pattern recognition and collaboration.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years of technical support experience
  • 5+ years working with TM1/Planning Analytics (Rules and Turbo-Integrator)
  • 3+ years working with SQL
  • Experience in customer communication during problem resolution
  • Proven troubleshooting and documentation skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with data infrastructures like relational DBMS, ElasticSearch, Big Data (EMR/EC2/Glue/Lambda)
  • Knowledge of Python, especially TM1Py
