Job summary

MORSE Corp seeks a network engineer to design and implement enterprise-wide network solutions with a strong focus on security and compliance. You will lead projects from planning to delivery, mentor junior teammates, and provide Tier 2 support in a corporate environment.

The role requires US citizenship with the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance, 5+ years of experience, and expertise in LAN/WAN, VPNs, data centers, and modern firewall technologies.

Qualifications

  • US Citizenship required and ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
  • 5+ years in a network engineer role leading the design of large, complex networks.
  • Experience with LAN, MAN, WAN, internet, VPN, WiFi, data center networks.
  • Practical experience with routing protocols.
  • Experience mentoring junior team members.
  • Strong understanding of modern data center network design, including cloud environments.
  • Experience deploying and managing load balancers, remote access VPNs, and Next Gen Firewalls.
  • Experience testing or implementing Network Access Control solutions.
  • Layer 3 segmentation and advanced routing skills.
  • Familiarity with cloud security solutions desired.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills.
  • Coding/scripting (Python, Ansible, Terraform) and network automation experience.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement enterprise-wide network solutions, upgrades and changes with a strong focus on network security (implementing/managing firewalls, crafting firewall policies, developing trust zone models, building systems/apps into trust zones) with NIST 800-171 compliance in mind
  • Lead network and security projects from planning to implementation to ensure successful delivery with strong communication, documentation, and organization
  • Provide enhancements to our networks leveraging your expertise of switching, routing, and data flows
  • Conduct related technical analysis & planning for deployment of evolving technology solutions, leveraging architecture standards and design guides
  • Interface with stakeholders to gather requirements for new projects
  • Produce simple & concise documentation around project budgets, implementation plans, technical drawings, project management artifacts, and operational handoffs as necessary
  • Lead and mentor junior team members through configuration and implementation activities
  • Serve as Tier 2 Support for network operations in corporate network environment
Qualifications
  • US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED and the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
  • 5+ years in a network engineer role leading the design of large, complex networks
  • Experience with designing, building, and monitoring LAN, MAN, WAN, internet, VPN, WiFi, data center network environments
  • Practical experience and applied knowledge of routing protocols
  • Experience mentoring junior team members
  • Strong understanding of modern data center network design, both internal data centers and cloud service provider environments
  • Experience with deploying and managing load balancers and remote access VPNs and Next Gen Firewalls
  • Experience testing or implementing Network Access Control solutions
  • Layer 3 segmentation and advanced routing skills
  • Significant experience with Aruba Wireless Environment, Fortigate Firewall, Extreme Networks and Cisco switching
  • Demonstrable ability to break down and analyze network communications at the packet level
  • Familiarity with cloud security solutions desired
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Coding and/or scripting skills (e.g., Python, Ansible, Terraform); experience with network automation processes and tools desired
Compensation

MORSE Corp's salary range for this role carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to, prior experience, education, skills and expertise, location, internal equity, and other factors that are job related and consistent with business need. Therefore, final offer amounts may vary from the amount stated. Depending on role eligibility, total compensation may also include bonus, stock, 401(k) match, paid time off, medical, dental, vision and life insurance.

Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year. MORSE maintains an "open" leave policy that does not restrict exempt, regular full-time employees to a specific number of paid sick or vacation days. However, this policy is not an "unlimited" paid leave policy.

Compensation $80,000 - $125,000 USD
