Job summary

MORSE Corp is seeking a seasoned Chief Engineer to lead our efforts in developing and deploying capabilities for artificial intelligence, machine learning, decision systems, and mission planning applications. Qualifications

  • US citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance (Secret/TS/SCI preferred).
  • Advanced degree in Aerospace/CS/Physics/EE or related field.
  • 10+ years in R&D with AI/ML, software, and decision systems.
  • Proven leadership of high-performing technical teams.
  • Strong understanding of software development principles, methods, and tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication for technical/non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with Agile and DevOps practices.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Set technical vision/direction for programs with internal staff and external customers.
  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams delivering algorithmic, software, cloud, and data solutions.
  • Manage program execution; ensure schedule and budget adherence and successful delivery.
  • Build relationships with external partners and stakeholders to advocate MORSE’s tech and services.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow the portfolio.
  • Provide technical oversight and guidance to program teams.

  • Provide technical oversight and guidance to program team members

Requirements
  • US Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance. Active Secret, Top Secret, or TS/SCI is preferred.

  • Master's degree or PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in R&D, with a focus on AI/ML, software, and decision systems

  • Proven leadership skills, with a track record of successfully managing high-performing technical teams

  • Deep understanding of software development principles, methods, and tools

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to absorb complex technical information quickly

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly and persuasively to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices

  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and infrastructure is nice to have

MORSE Corp’s salary range for this role carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to, prior experience, education, skills and expertise, location, internal equity, and other factors that are job related and consistent with business need. Therefore, final offer amounts may vary from the amount stated. Depending on role eligibility, total compensation may also include bonus, stock, 401(k) match, paid time off, medical, dental, vision and life insurance.Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year. MORSE maintains an “open” leave policy that does not restrict exempt, regular full-time employees to a specificnumber of paid sick or vacation days. However, this policy is not an “unlimited” paid leave policy.

Compensation: $120,000 USD - $225,000 USD
