Job summary

Glacier Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced IT Administrator/Support IV to manage enterprise systems and critical infrastructure on Alaska's North Slope.

This senior role emphasizes server administration, cybersecurity, disaster recovery, virtualization, and enterprise support for field operations. The position requires leadership in infrastructure upgrades, incident resolution, and cross-functional collaboration within a remote, 21/21-day rotation schedule.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in IT infrastructure, systems administration, or enterprise support.
• Strong experience with Windows server environments.
• Experience with server patching, vulnerability management, and cybersecurity best practices.
• Experience with backups, replication, DR, and business continuity planning.
• Experience with virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) and incident troubleshooting.
• Experience leading technical projects and upgrades.
• Ability to work independently in a remote operational environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain physical and virtual server environments.
• Perform server patching, security updates, and preventative maintenance.
• Conduct security assessments and recommend improvements.

We are seeking an experienced IT Administrator/Support IV to support critical infrastructure and enterprise systems on the North Slope. This is a senior-level role responsible for maintaining secure, reliable, and high-performing IT environments that support ongoing field operations.

• Hands-on experience with backups, replication, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning
• Experience supporting virtualized environments (VMware, Hyper-V, or similar)
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills
• Experience leading technical projects and infrastructure upgrades
• Ability to work independently in a remote operational environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Oil & Gas, industrial, energy, utilities, or other critical infrastructure experience
• Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP administration
• Networking experience including switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs
• Cloud experience with Azure and/or AWS
• Security certifications or advanced infrastructure certifications
