Job description

Overview

Working across the globe, V2X builds smart solutions designed to integrate physical and digital infrastructure from base to battlefield. We bring 120 years of successful mission support to improve security, streamline logistics, and enhance readiness. Aligned around a shared purpose, our $3.9B company and 16,000 people work alongside our clients, here and abroad, to tackle their most complex challenges with integrity, respect, responsibility, and professionalism.

Job Summary

V2X is seeking an experienced Information Systems Technologist to serve as the principal Site Infrastructure Lead for the regional W-TRS Mission Support System (MSS) environment. This position provides technical leadership, operational continuity, fiscal oversight, workforce development, and infrastructure synchronization across mission-critical sites.

The successful candidate will act as the primary authority for site MSS operations, ensuring that infrastructure investments, technical solutions, training systems, and identity-access processes support contractual requirements and continuous mission readiness. This role requires close coordination with program leadership, regional site leads, business-development stakeholders, vendors, and end users.

Responsibilities
Site Competency and Operational Continuity
  • Orchestrate end-to-end training and technical onboarding for Site Infrastructure users, establishing consistent operational standards across the regional W-TRS contract.
  • Provide program leadership with the technical and logistical information needed to establish and maintain executive-level operating protocols.
  • Serve as the principal[ authoritative knowledge custodian for W-TRS MSS infrastructure operations.
  • Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, operating procedures, and continuity resources to preserve institutional knowledge and reduce single-person dependency.
  • Mentor site personnel and technical leads while establishing clear responsibilities, escalation paths, and delegation models.
Fiscal Stewardship and Strategic Arbitration
  • Manage the complete lifecycle of site internet services, devices, and supporting infrastructure.
  • Maintain a regular executive briefing cadence with the Program Manager and Deputy Program Manager, providing concise updates on regional performance, risks, systems status, and information technology required decisions.
  • Track contractual performance and implement corrective actions to sustain a high rate of contractual fulfillment.
Command, Control, and Site Synchronization
  • Attend a daily synchronization process for technical leads throughout the regional area.
  • Use asynchronous transcripts, shared operational dashboards, and secure digital collaboration rooms to support continuous awareness and 24/7 mission readiness.
  • Monitor service performance and coordinate resources to meet all applicable service-level agreements without degrading mission capability or creating unnecessary overhead.
  • Develop a proactive infrastructure-hardening model focused on identifying and resolving potential failures before they affect stakeholders.
  • Translate enterprise and site-level changes into localized technical solutions, implementation plans, and risk-mitigation actions.
  • Analyze operational trends, recurring incidents, infrastructure capacity, and emerging requirements to improve service resilience.
Learning Management System Architecture and Compliance
  • Assume operational ownership and oversight of the Learning Management System (LMS), transitioning administration from local leadership as required.
  • Process high-volume training activity and reconcile certificates with individual user profiles.
  • Maintain accurate LMS records and support full compliance with contractual training requirements.
Security, Identity, and Mobile Device Management
  • Manage the manual provisioning and accountability of safe tokens for personnel assigned to restrictive or controlled-access areas.
  • Serve as the primary gatekeeper for multi-factor authentication in environments where standard mobile devices are prohibited.
  • Maintain secure records for token issuance, activation, replacement, revocation, and return.
  • Ensure identity and access processes comply with applicable contract, customer, and cybersecurity requirements.
  • Lead implementation and sustainment of an automated, QR-based enrollment process for Microsoft Intune mobile device management.
  • Monitor enrollment performance, identify exceptions, and continuously improve the end-user experience without compromising security.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in the IT field or minimum of 2 years experience supporting enterprise information systems, site infrastructure, IT operations, or mission-support environments.
  • Experience leading geographically dispersed technical teams or coordinating operations across multiple sites.
  • Strong understanding of IT service delivery, lifecycle asset management, infrastructure sustainment, and service-level agreement management.
  • Ability to evaluate technical requirements, resource estimates, operational risks, and cost assumptions for contract bids or new-business opportunities.
  • Experience administering or overseeing a Learning Management System and maintaining compliance-related training records.
  • Working knowledge of identity and access management, multi-factor authentication, hardware or safe-token provisioning, and access-control practices.
  • Experience with Microsoft Intune or a comparable mobile device management platform.
  • Ability to design automated, repeatable workflows that replace inefficient manual processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to brief program managers, deputy program managers, executives, and other senior stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, communication, mentoring, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in restricted environments and manage multiple mission-critical priorities.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all customer-required credentials, certifications, and security clearances.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting W-TRS, MSS, defense, training, logistics, or other government-contract environments.
  • Experience serving as a site lead, regional IT lead, technical authority, or member of a business advisory board.
  • Familiarity with digital operations centers, asynchronous collaboration tools, operational dashboards, and continuous-readiness models.
  • Experience implementing proactive infrastructure-hardening, service-continuity, and outage-prevention programs.
  • Knowledge of contractual compliance, technical proposal review, cost estimation, and risk management.
  • Relevant education, technical certifications, and experience as required by the applicable contract.
  • Knowledge and experience in Maximo, Okta, Active Directory, Azure, Safe ID Admin, Service Now, Sec Plus, Network Configuration, Automox, etc.
