Job summary
Metropolitan Community College (Kansas City) seeks an IT instructor for the Information Technology Academic Focus Area. You will teach basic IT courses and broaden to Cisco Networking, Cloud & Server Administration, Cybersecurity and IT Support in on-campus, hybrid, online or remote formats.
Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field with two years of related experience, or an associate degree with current certifications and two years of experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in discipline or related field with 2 years full-time related experience.
- OR Associate’s degree, current industry certification, and 2 years full-time related experience.
- For INFO 1000 course: Bachelor’s degree and 2 years FT related experience.
- For Tech Design course: MS in Instructional Tech Design or BS in IT field and 2 years FT industry experience.
- Position includes teaching day/evening/weekend classes; travel to campuses; MCC 4-county service area.
Responsibilities
- Teach IT courses in on-campus, hybrid, online or remote delivery modes.
- Deliver curricula for Cisco Networking, Cloud & Server Administration, Cybersecurity, IT Support.
- Create engaging classroom experiences to support student success.
- Participate in teaching demonstrations and interview process requirements.
