Job summary

Agile Defense is seeking a Senior ISSO/Security Engineer Lead for the CBP program in Reston, VA. The role focuses on maintaining authorization, security controls, and documentation across complex USG systems. Hybrid work arrangement allows 3–5 days on-site.

The candidate should have active Top Secret with SCI eligibility, CBP BI eligibility, and relevant certifications (CISSP/CISM/CCSP/CEH). A bachelor’s degree and 8+ years in information security are required.

Qualifications

• One or more of the following certifications required: CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CEH, or other relevant certifications.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, STEM, Information Technology, or Cybersecurity.
• Eight (8) years of experience in information security, with at least 5 years in a lead ISSO or similar leadership capacity on large complex USG programs.

Responsibilities

• Own whether systems stay authorized and whether the paperwork describing them is true.
• Senior level ownership of how systems are hardened, monitored, and remediated.
• Collaborate with network engineers, cloud engineers, field deployment teams, and government security staff.
