Job summary

BETA Technologies is seeking a highly motivated Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to protect our critical security infrastructure in Vermont. The role requires self-motivation, independent work, and strong cybersecurity expertise to support our mission of revolutionizing electric aviation.

Responsibilities include implementing security protocols, risk assessments, accreditation, and incident response, with opportunities to contribute to modern security practices and documentation.

Qualifications

• Active Secret-level security clearance is required.
• 3–5 years of information systems security and administration experience.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and system administration.
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong technical skills in system management and security.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain information security protocols.
• Conduct security risk assessments and vulnerability analyses.
• Ensure compliance with NIST, FISMA, and other security frameworks.
• Manage system accreditation and authorization processes.
• Develop and update security documentation.
• Perform periodic security audits and reporting.
• Support incident response and mitigation efforts.
• User account management and access control.
