General Dynamics Electric Boat in New London, CT seeks an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to support the implementation, assessment, and continuous monitoring of cybersecurity requirements across multiple EB ISs in support of the U.S. Navy.

This role reports to the Chief of Cybersecurity and requires ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and availability per NIST SP 800-53 and RMF. The ideal candidate combines strong cybersecurity fundamentals with documentation and reporting skills,

Qualifications

• 3+ years' prior ISSO experience
• Ability to obtain DoD SECRET clearance
• AS degree in cybersecurity/IT or HS diploma with certs
• Familiarity with NIST SP 800-53, RMF, STIGs
• Experience with SIEM and vulnerability management preferred

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain security plan documents and baselines
• Review changes and risk assessments for configuration management
• Process user access training and forms
• Develop and maintain system security policies and procedures
• Collaborate with system and network admins to validate configurations for compliance
• Monitor system and user activity for security concerns
• Monitor vulnerability management requirements
• Identify non-compliance and support corrective action planning; incident response
• Work with ISSM and stakeholders to maintain accreditation and security posture
• Offer guidance on implementing and maintaining security controls
• Support inspections and assessments
• Assist with assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring throughout the lifecycle
