Shield AI is seeking a detail-oriented ISSO to support the Federal Systems Team in an on-site, high-security environment. The role focuses on implementing RMF/NIST 800-53 controls, maintaining accreditation artifacts, and ensuring DoD/IC compliance across multiple classification levels.

The position requires 3–6 years in classified cybersecurity, familiarity with STIGs and vulnerability tools, and experience with CDS and MLS environments. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years in cybersecurity or ISSO roles in classified environments.
• Experience with RMF and NIST 800-53.
• Familiarity with STIGs and vulnerability tools.
• Preferred: IC or SAP environment experience.
• Preferred: eMASS familiarity.
• Preferred: Scripting experience (Python, PowerShell, Bash).
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor cybersecurity controls in accordance with RMF and NIST 800-53.
• Ensure DoD and IC requirements compliance.
• Review configurations, audit logs, and controls regularly.
• Support RMF lifecycle activities.
• Maintain SSPs, POA&Ms, and related artifacts.
• Coordinate with ISSM, AO, and stakeholders.
• Perform vulnerability management and patch tracking.
• Analyze scan results (ACAS/Nessus).
• Report system risk posture.
• Support incident response activities.
• Assist with audits and inspections.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation.
• Support CDS accreditation and compliance.
• Validate configurations and data flows.
• Coordinate with CDS administrators.
• Ensure STIG compliance.
• Maintain secure baselines.
• Review configuration changes.
• Work with engineers and admins on secure design.
• Provide guidance on MLS environments.
