General Dynamics Electric Boat seeks an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to support cybersecurity across EB ISs for the U.S. Navy.

You will help implement, assess, and monitor security controls, maintain accreditation, and coordinate with ISSM and stakeholders to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of critical systems. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in cybersecurity, strong documentation skills, and experience with RMF, NIST SP 800-53, and STIGs,

Formación

• Minimum AS Degree (or higher) in Cybersecurity, IT or equivalent with 3+ years ISSO experience, or high school with relevant certifications and 3+ years ISSO experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET clearance.
• Experience with NISPOM, DAAG, RMF, and NIST SP 800-53 Controls.
• Experience with Linux configuration and cybersecurity hardening standards.
• Experience with computer networking concepts and STIGs.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain security plan documents (baselines, diagrams, user lists).
• Review, track, and process configuration management changes and risk assessments.
• Process user agreement forms and ensure training/compliance for access.
• Develop and maintain system-specific policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with system and network admins to validate configurations and compliance.
• Monitor and analyze system/user activity for security concerns.
• Monitor vulnerability management compliance and report gaps.
• Support incident response activities and assess security posture.
• Work with ISSM and stakeholders to maintain accreditation.
• Provide guidance on implementing and maintaining security controls.
