Job summary

Chenega MIOS in Arlington, VA seeks an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to strengthen federal security programs and support national security missions. You will oversee networks, ensure STIGs/IAVM compliance, and drive RMF A&A activities with ISSM, ISO, and AO to remediate vulnerabilities.

During the initial two-month on-site training, you will work five days a week, with telework limited to one day per week thereafter. A DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or 2+ years with an Associate) or HS diploma with relevant experience.
• 5+ years relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight for assigned network(s) ensuring STIGs/IAVM compliance.
• On-site five days/week during initial training (~2 months); telework allowed one day/week thereafter.
• Ensure stakeholders adhere to FISMA policies to obtain/maintain Authority to Operate (ATO).
• Lead RMF A&A activities with ISSM, ISO, and AO; coordinate with engineering/ops to secure systems and POAMs.
• Provide POAM support by advising CISO/AO on changes and remediation efforts.
• Perform ConMon reviews (mostly via Splunk) and related checks.
• Assist with IR activities by validating sanitation procedures prior to CART Case submission.
• Collaborate with Security Tools Team to identify Critical/High vulnerabilities and report posture.
• Other duties as assigned
