Job summary

HRUCKUS is seeking an experienced Information System Security Officer (ISSO) II for an on-site assignment at Kirtland AFB, NM. The role requires active TS/SCI eligibility and 2–5 years of related cybersecurity experience developing RMF packages.

The ISSO II will manage security operations, documentation, and incident handling within SAPs for DoD agencies, coordinating with ISSM and AO/DAO.

Qualifications

Experience in developing RMF packages or bodies of evidence.
Prior performance as System/Network Administrator or ISSO.
Active Top Secret Clearance / SCI eligibility

Responsibilities

Assist the ISSM in meeting duties and responsibilities.
Prepare, review, and update authorization packages.
Ensure approved procedures for clearing, sanitizing, and destroying hardware/media.
Notify ISSM when changes may affect authorization determinations.
Conduct periodic reviews to ensure compliance with the security authorization package.
Coordinate changes to hardware/software/firmware with ISSM and AO/DAO.
Monitor system recovery to ensure security features are restored.
Ensure all security documentation is current and accessible.
Ensure audit records are collected and reviewed.
Attend required technical and security training.
Execute cyber security self-inspection and review system assessment plans.
Identify cyber security vulnerabilities and assist with countermeasures.
Prepare reports on security safeguards status.
Perform ISSO duties in support of in-house and external customers
