Job summary

Draper is seeking an Information System Security Officer 2 (ISSO) to monitor and authorize multiple classified information systems under the direction of the ISSM. The role includes activities in security, training, incident handling, and SSP management in a highly collaborative environment in Cambridge, MA.

Applicants must have 3–5 years of relevant industry experience, a bachelor’s in IT or related field, and IAM I/IAT II certification.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field.
• Equivalent industry experience may be substituted.
• Possesses an IAM I/IAT II Certification, or greater.

Responsibilities

• Assist the ISSM in meeting duties; ISSO may assume ISSM responsibilities in absence of ISSM.
• Ensure systems are operated, maintained, and disposed of per security policies.
• Attend required technical and security training related to duties.
• Verify users have appropriate security clearances and need-to-know.
• Conduct periodic reviews of information systems for compliance.
• Coordinate changes to hardware/software with ISSM and AO/DAO.
• Notify ISSM/AO/DAO when changes affect authorization.
• Monitor recovery processes to ensure security features function properly.
• Keep security documentation current and accessible.
• Conduct Audits and Continuous Monitoring (ConMon) activities and report findings.
• Manage configuration baselines of hardware and software.
• Identify architecture flaws using STIG/SCAP/Nessus tools.
