Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Mid-Level Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) in Chantilly, VA to support a DoD SAP environment. You will lead RMF lifecycle activities, apply JSIG policies, and develop security documentation such as SSPs, SCTMs, and POA&Ms.

Collaboration with system owners, engineers, and assessors is essential to maintain authorization readiness. The role requires a TS/SCI with eligibility, a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and 5+ years of related experience; DoD RMF experience

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility and relevant DoD RMF/A&A experience.
• Experience developing RMF artifacts: SSPs, SCTMs, POA&Ms, risk assessments.
• Knowledge of DoD guidance (JSIG, DISA STIGs, 800-53).

Responsibilities

• Support RMF lifecycle activities for DoD SAP environments.
• Interpret JSIG policy for security controls and authorization artifacts.
• Develop and maintain SSPs, SCTMs, POA&Ms, risk assessments, and continuous monitoring docs.
• Coordinate with system owners, engineers, assessors, and AO representatives.
• Review vulnerability scans, STIG findings, and remediation evidence to assess risk.
