Job summary

Falconwood, Inc. seeks an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to support NMCI and Navy cybersecurity initiatives in Norfolk, VA.

You will plan, implement, and maintain RMF across assigned systems and collaborate with the ISSM and stakeholders. Requirements: active DoD Secret clearance; 3+ years as ISSO in a DoD environment (NMCI a plus); Bachelor's in CS/Cybersecurity; DoD 8570 IAM Level I preferred; strong RMF/NIST 800-53 knowledge; experience with security assessment tools; excellent

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance required
• 3+ years as ISSO in a DoD environment (NMCI a plus)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
• Preferred DoD 8570 IAM Level I certification
• Strong RMF and NIST 800-53 knowledge
• Experience with security assessment tools and techniques
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• No travel required

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and maintain all phases of RMF for assigned systems
• Assist in development and maintenance of security documentation (SSPs, SARs, POA&Ms)
• Work with ISSM to execute duties
• Collaborate with system owners and stakeholders
• Provide security guidance and training to system users
• Prepare and present security briefings to management
• Ensure compliance with DoD and DoN cybersecurity policies
• Keep policy documentation current and accessible
