Job summary

Chenega MIOS seeks an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) Associate in Oakton, VA. You will support government operations, ensure compliance with FISMA and NIST controls, and help manage A&A activities with engineers and security staff.

The role requires DoD Top Secret clearance and IAT II certification, with on-site work five days during initial training, then one telework day weekly. Growth and professional development are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Experience with NIST SP 800-37/800-53 rev 4/5, 800-171/171A for self-assessments.
• Familiar with A&A packages in eMASS or Xacta and NIST risk categorization.
• Knowledge of vulnerability management and risk assessment per NIST guidelines.
• Must have DoD TS clearance and IAT II level certification.
• Ability to validate security patches per client policies and OMB mandates.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of assigned network(s) ensuring STIG/IAVM compliance.
• Lead RMF A&A activities with ISSO/ISSM/ISO/SCA/AO coordination.
• Provide POA&M support and remediation coordination.
• Perform ConMon reviews using Splunk and manual checks.
• Assist Incident Response and report to CISO for closure.
• Report security posture in weekly CISO/AO meetings.
• Create and maintain security policy documentation.

Bachelor's degree

Associate's degree substitution with 2+ years relevant experience OR 4+ years relevant experience
