Job summary

Intuitive Machines seeks an Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) in Houston, TX to lead information assurance across classified programs. You will manage IS security lifecycle, accreditation packages, and security policy in coordination with government agencies.

The role requires active TS/SCI clearance, NISPOM/JSIG experience, and leadership of security professionals. You will oversee SSPs, RMF activities, and incident response, ensuring robust security posture.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen with Active TS/SCI clearance and CI Poly.
• Experience implementing NISPOM Chapter 8, ICD 503 and JSIG IS requirements in SAP/SCI env.
• CISSP and CISM certifications.
• GSLC certification within 6 months of hire.
• Bachelor of Science degree.
• 8 years of related IT security experience.
• 2+ years in classified (SCI) environment.
• Hands-on SIEM experience (Splunk/Elastic) for log analysis.
• RMF experience including assessment and authorization activities.
• Coordination with government assessment teams (DCSA, NSA, PSOs).

Responsibilities

• Ensure information system compliance with government policies across programs.
• Ensure security controls align with NIST SP and applicable policies; assess changes and vulnerabilities.
• Maintain NIST 800-53 controls in Security Controls Tractability Matrix (SCTM).
• Monitor POA&M to mitigate system vulnerabilities.
• Coordinate IS security policy with government agencies for rulings and deviations.
• Establish and monitor IS Security Program and SSPs.
• Prepare and maintain Systems Security Plans (SSP) and ensure proper testing.
• Evaluate SSP changes with customers and obtain approvals.
• Conduct ongoing security reviews and tests of information systems.
• Lead and mentor security staff; oversee insider threat program activities.
• Coordinate security incident response with agencies and stakeholders.
• Oversee media sanitization and decommissioning procedures.
