Job summary

Peraton is seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer Level 1 to support AI/ML projects in Laurel, MD, TS/SCI with poly required. You will join a Cyber Intelligence team delivering secure, high-assurance capabilities hosted on AWS Cloud and large compute clusters, applying IA policies across multiple enclaves.

The role emphasizes security engineering across life cycle activities, risk management, and certification, with opportunities to contribute to cutting-edge national security missions.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• 7 years experience as an ISSE on programs of similar scope.
• DoD 8570 IASAE Level 2 compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform security assessments of computing environments to identify vulnerabilities and ensure IA compliance.
• Validate system security requirements and designs for secure operation.
• Design, develop, and integrate IA and security systems for networking, computing, and enclave environments.
• Assist architects and developers in implementing appropriate security functionalities.
• Review certification and accreditation documentation for completeness and compliance.
