Job summary

Columbia Technology Partners in Maryland is seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to support the design, development, implementation, integration, and assessment of secure information systems and architectures.

The role applies systems security engineering throughout the lifecycle, ensuring information assurance, risk management, and secure system design for networking, computing, and enclave environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 14 years ISSE experience in similar scope.
• 4 additional years of ISSE experience may be substituted for a degree.
• CISSP certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform and review technical security assessments to identify vulnerabilities, compliance gaps, and security risks.
• Validate system security requirements and establish security designs that align with mission and compliance objectives.
• Design, develop, implement, and integrate IA architectures, systems, and security components.
• Participate as a security engineering representative on engineering teams supporting secure networking, computing, and enclave environments.
• Support security planning, assessment, risk analysis, and risk management activities.
• Support system authorization activities in accordance with NISCAP, DoD RMF, NIST RMF, and applicable security engineering processes.
• Review certification and accreditation documentation for completeness and compliance.
• Assist in the implementation of trusted relationships among external systems and architectures.
• Recommend system-level solutions to address security requirements and improve overall security posture.
• Collaborate with system engineers, architects, customers, and program stakeholders to integrate security requirements throughout the system lifecycle.
